The engine could be dubbed as the heart and soul of a car or perhaps an automobile, whichever the case may be, a working and functional engine only means one thing a healthy car. this also aligns with the saying that " A Sound Engine Means A Sound Car" ensuring your car engine is fit and good to go does not really entail much of a process or having to visit your tech person every now and then.

Are you having problems with the performance of your car engine, do you experience difficulty in ensuring that your engine is up and running every now and then? if that's the case then sit back and read through this post as we take a look at 5 very simple ways you can ensure that your car engine performs optimally and lasts longer.

1. SERVICE AS AT WHEN DUE

Your car service interval and how well you adhere to it will go a long way in determining how long your engine and indeed your car would last. manufacturers now specify vehicle service intervals and various indicator lamps to tell the car owner when the car is due to hit the workshop.

Adequately following this routine would certainly improve the lifespan of your car engine, it's very best to follow manufacturer procedures as regards the service intervals to keep your engine in shape and ensure it sticks around for a long time.

2. USE GENUINE SERVICE PARTS

Using genuine and proper service parts for your car engine will go a long way in ensuring that you get the best out of your car, recent studies have shown that one of the major contributory effects of engine damage is a result of using the wrong or substandard service parts, this development has ensured that manufacturers identify genuine parts with the use of codes and other figures.

Using the right and genuine parts is one sure way of prolonging the lifespan of your car engine.

3. BUY THE RIGHT FUEL.

The process of combustion can certainly not be complete without the mere mention of gasoline, or fuel as a more general term. the importance of using the right fuel for your car or buying from the right source is as important as anything. using the right fuel on your car ensures that your engine runs smoothly without any hassles and without having to compromise the functionality of any component that makes up your fuel system.

Some gas stations are always in the habit of selling adulterated fuel which has done more harm than good to car owners over time. My advice on this is to always refill your tank from trusted vendors.

4. CONSIDER IMPROVING YOUR DRIVING PATTERN

You need to know your driving pattern to go a long way as to how long your car engine will last. Excessive or hard and sudden acceleration is one quick way of putting more strain on your engine and ensuring that it does not stand the test of time. when you indulge in hard acceleration this puts pressure on the cylinder walls of your engine which in turn increases the rate of wear and tear by a large fraction and the resultant effect over time is gradual engine depreciation.

A better and healthier driving pattern will only ensure your car remains in absolute condition for a good number of years.

5. PAY ATTENTION AND BE OBSERVANT.

Yes, it's no news that some people just simply hop into their cars start the engine, and just drive. in as much as this could be attributed to the somewhat busy schedule of motorists, it's also strongly advised that we pay attention to our cars especially before and when driving.

Simple tips like checking the oil gauge, oil leaks if any, coolant level, and for little anomalies here and there before zooming off in the morning is one sure simple way of ensuring That your car engine Lasts longer, also paying attention to any form of noise from the engine when driving and being observant of the various maintenance indicator lamps on your dashboard remains a clear pointer in ensuring that our car engines remain intact for a long period to come.
