The hiace could trace its history back to 1967 when it was formally launched , it has been made available in different configurations notably as a minavan , pickup, ambulance, mini bus, and even a van.
The hiace has been originally built as a substitute to the Toyota coaster bus, which is primarily deployed in conveying passengers. its originally designed to convey just eight passengers but with modifications to later editions that has increased the number.

DESIGN AND FEATURES
The 2016 Toyota hiace bus has received an interior face lift, the new Toyota hiace now has the capacity to accommodate 10 to 14 passengers, this has been achieved by introducing a bucket seat for each passenger and a two seater bench seat all through the hiace.
The front row seat has been equipped with slide adjustments and an ample leg room for proper relaxation.also included is a four row seating arrangement. .
Other features includes , Toyota air conditioning for adequate aeration, mp3 compatible cd player with FM /AM, radio , USB pot two speaker system., remote central lock, ant skid breaking system, modern dash board ,gated gear shift and lots more.
