Lagos Traffic Gridlock

For Lagos residents the sight and experience of being in long traffic queues has since become a usual occurrence, but to wake on a Monday morning to discover that  long heavy duty vehicles popularly known as trailers had taken over the expressway seems weird.

The traffic gridlock which has seized most part of ikorodu
road for the past two days with special references to places like ojuelegba, stadium , and costain had literally paralyzed  traffic activities throughout Monday within these axis, these gridlock had further extends to apapa.

The Positive news regarding this is the way and manner the various traffic agencies had  been  able to controlled the situation especially the police who stationed its men along various parts of ikorodu road is quite commendable.

Given the position of Lagos as a commercial nerve center it is left to the government to provide adequate parking lots that would accommodate these long vehicles that travel from far and wide and ensure they don't swarm the expressways in these manner and subsequently create a lock down situation.
