Hello, my esteemed reader, feels good to be back again after a short sabbatical on personal grounds trust your vehicles are in optimum shape, and of course, you find time to keep yourselves abrace with the happenings in the automotive world, the latest car reviews and what's hot amongst the trending manufacturers today, this post takes us through the use of tire rotation.
My topic today is centered on one of the most fundamental but frequently ignored safety measures deemed of us motorists on your cars which is periodic tire rotation,
the periodic or routine check and maintenance of our car tires go a long way in ensuring that there's, maximum safety on our roads and so the questions today are what is a tire rotation? how often should we rotate tires and the importance of tire rotation., I'll start with the first question
WHAT IS TIRE ROTATION
In clear terms, tire rotation is simply the act or practice of moving the tires of an automobile from their original position to another in a bid to ensure even tire wear, in other words, it simply is swapping the position of all tires in a vehicle in order to ensure even wear amongst them.

So many factors necessitate the act of tire rotation in automobiles some manufacturers take this practice very highly important to the extent of stating when they deem it necessary to carry out tire rotation, one big reason why periodic tire rotation is quite important is to prevent uneven wear amongst these tires.
Ideally, the weight of the front axle of an automobile is quite different from that of the rear axle, during maneuvering, the rear tires actually take more punishment considering the fact that they are not able to turn just like the front tires, this ensures that the outer edge wears out faster than expected.
It is only logical to swap the positions of these tires to ensure they wear off evenly and last for as long as expected.
Another reason why tires wear off is due to alignment problems, do well to check if you have a bad alignment today.
HOW OFTEN DO ROTATE TIRES
Now this is a bit technical to answer, why because of certain criteria like the vehicle type, vehicle manufacturer, and to some extent,s driving pattern above all its best to stick to the owner's manual before ascertaining when its best appropriate to carry out tire rotation on your car, for car owners who do not have access to owners manual, and want to be on the safe side its best to carry out tire rotation every six months or at best after every six (6,000) to eight (8,000) miles
IMPORTANCE OF TIRE ROTATION?
The importance of tire rotation cannot be over-emphasized, asides from its primary aim of preventing uneven tire wear there are other related reasons why a periodic tire rotation is deemed so important, these reasons include Cost, Safety, and Mechanical problems.
Periodic tire rotation will certainly reduce cost because all tires are expected to last for a certain period of time (5 years) if well maintained ( through periodic rotations) if these tires are not properly rotated it may cause them to wear out easily thereby incurring more cost by buying new tires sooner than expected.
Safety is paramount on our roads and one way of ensuring this is to have healthy and functional tires on our vehicles, one reason tires easily go bad is as a result of wear, this can be reduced drastically if these tires are periodically rotated to ensure they are in optimal conditions at all times.
One aftermath of a worn tire is certainly a tire blowout which could occur especially while at top speed on the highway.
It is quite imperative to have quality sets of tires on our vehicles at all times because this serves as our first line of defense on the road and as such should always be in optimal conditions, you never can tell how many lives and properties are worth millions a set of healthy tires could save, how often to rotate tires should be dependent on one's car specifications and maybe one's driving pattern
