Our car Engines are like thermal devices and as such thrive on  optimal temperature to function effectively, this engine temperature is regulated  with the help of engine add onn, s like the water  pump and radiators, to enable the engine function at its very best.

Some times Our engine temperature might go seemingly higher than abnormal without showing the usual symptoms on the temperature gauge this unusual temperature hike which might ultimately lead to a blow head gasket some times our engines might go functioning
with a blown gasket without alerting us with the slightest of signs ( this is usually common with older vehicles without the check engine lights ) to simply know if your head gasket might be blown without any prior signal simply try out the following tricks.

STEP ONE
Open the hood of your car, open the resarvour and check if theres enough coolant( water) in there if the coolant isn't up to the normal level please try to refill,
after this confirmation close your reservoir and then shut the hood.

STEP TWO
Start your car and allow the engine to run for about 20 minutes  at this point the temperature level of the engine is expected to rise to its operating state.
After watching your car engine run for 20 minutes stop the engine and allow cool for some time.

STEP THREE
I Call this the confirmatory step at this point you need to reopen the hood and gradually open the reservoir just in case its not so hot its advised you open up with a piece of cloth as guide at this time, after opening the resarvour check to see if there are traces of oil on the surface or mixed with the coolant, if you find any please call at your tech mans,s work shop for proper diagnosis if you dont find any then it means your head gasket is still in optimal order.

Tried this out and it worked for me, this test is more peculiar with older vehicles that are less computerized.

Please share your thoughts.
